If your business has nothing online yet, do things in this order: a Google Business Profile, a simple website, one social media page you can keep active, and only then SEO work and paid ads. Each step makes the next one work better.
1. Google Business Profile
It is free and it is what shows your name, phone number, opening hours and map pin when someone searches for you. Fill in every field, add real photos, and ask happy customers for reviews.
2. A simple website
Four or five pages are enough to start: what you do, prices or how to get a quote, examples of your work, and how to contact you. Use your own domain and email on that domain. The website is the one place online that you fully control.
3. One social media page, kept active
Pick the platform your customers already use. A page with two good posts a week is better than four pages that went quiet months ago. Link it to the website.
4. SEO
Once the website exists, improve how it is found: clear page titles, pages for each service and area you serve, fast loading, and links from other local sites. SEO takes months, not days, so start it after the basics are right.
5. Paid ads
Ads on Google and Meta bring visitors immediately, but they send people to your website or page. If those are weak, the money is wasted. Start small, measure calls and enquiries, and increase only what works.
How to tell if it is working
Count three things each month: calls, messages and enquiries from the website. If those go up, the work is paying for itself.
Podium Technologies can handle each of these steps or all of them. See our services.
Common questions
Does a small business in Nepal need a website if it has a Facebook page?
Yes. A Facebook page can be restricted or lose reach at any time, and it does not appear well in Google searches. A website on your own domain is the part you control.
How long does SEO take to work?
Usually a few months. Search engines need time to crawl and trust changes, and results depend on how competitive your field is.
